HDF in partnership with OXFAM initiated a project ‘Policy and Practice Nexus for Financing Girls Education in Pakistan’. Objectives of the project were; To provide conducive learning environment for girls ii) To generate evidence in order to mainstream gender responsive budgeting for effective Public financing of girls education and lastly Evidence based policy advocacy for gender responsive budgeting.
Major milestones achieved were; Provided missing facilities in 23 schools in 2 districts. Capacity building of Teachers. Skill development of Teacher & relevant stakeholders including parents. Training of teachers on gender sensitive teaching methodologies.
Building productive meaningful linkages between School development planning with the district duty bearers and further linking it with the provincial decision makers.
